Ecstatic dance by the sea, where strangers become family
The night you remember you are alive.

The night
A night at Extaticaa
Ecstatic dance means you move however your body wants. No steps, no teacher, no front of the room. Five hours by the sea, barefoot and completely sober.
17:00
The cacao
A warm cup, a circle by the sea, and the room going quiet together.
Sunset
The Eros Call
A live saxophone plays one short solo in the middle of the floor. Then the body starts to move.
Then
The wave
Slow. Grounding. Into the wild. Through the peak. Back into softness.
After dark
The fire, then the floor
Fire by the sea. Then you lie down on the ground and nobody says a word.
Phones stay outside, and our cameras rest when the journey goes deep. What happens in the deep is only for the room. The body does all the talking.
Which part of the night are you?Take the one-minute quiz
We dance under the moon, near the sea. Every move is the right move, because it is yours. Strangers arrive, and by the end of the night they become family.
The arc
How does it feel
You already know what you want. Here is how the night gives it to you.
01
Land in your body
Shoes off. Phone off. Warm cacao in your hands. You sit in the circle. You look around. A slow breath. Your chest softens. You feel yourself inside your skin again. This is where self love begins.
02
Melt into the wave
Live drums. The DJ takes you through it. Slow, fast, wild, slow again. Your body warms up. Sweat rises. Breath deepens. You catch a stranger's eye and you both smile. Nobody is judging you. Nobody in the crowd is filming you. You dance the way you want to dance, and for a few hours nobody wants anything from you.
03
Come home to yourself
Music softens. You lie on the earth. Your chest rises and falls. Your skin is warm. The smell of sweat and breath around you. You look at someone you just met and smile. You walk out lighter than you came in.
Who holds it
Who holds the room
All of us. The musicians, the drummers, and everyone who came to dance.

Good to know
Questions people ask
What is Extaticaa?
Extaticaa runs sober, phone-free ecstatic dance and cacao ceremony nights by the ocean in Da Nang and Hoi An, Vietnam. Each night opens with a warm cacao ceremony and a live saxophone solo at sunset, the Eros Call, then rises through live drums into fire and settles into a quiet close. You come as a stranger and leave part of a room that moved as one.
What is ecstatic dance?
Ecstatic dance is movement with no steps to learn and no one watching. The music carries you from slow and grounding to wild, then back to stillness. There is no right way to move. Your body decides.
What happens at an Extaticaa night?
We open with a warm cacao ceremony and a circle. As the sun goes down, a live saxophone solo plays in the center of the floor, the Eros Call. Then live drums lift the room, the dance rises into fire, and the night settles into a quiet close on the floor. A night runs about five hours.
Where and when are the events?
By the ocean in Da Nang and nearby Hoi An, usually on a Saturday evening. We do not run a night every week, so each one is a separate event. When a date is set, it goes on our events page with the venue and the start time. Join the list on this page and it comes to you by email first.
How do I get tickets, and how much are they?
Tickets go on sale on Ticketmelon once a date is set. Recent nights have been 333,333 VND online and 400,000 VND at the door. The price for each night is set on that night's page. Some nights have extras you can add, like a bus seat from Da Nang. You will find those on the page for that night. Join the list on this page and the ticket link comes to you by email first.
Is it really sober and phone-free?
Yes. No alcohol, and phones stay off the floor. The cacao and the music carry the room, not drinks. Our cameras rest when the journey goes deep, so what happens in the deep stays in the room.
Can I come alone, and do I need experience?
Yes, you can come alone, and you need no experience. Most people arrive alone and know no one. There are no steps and nothing to get right, so the room takes care of the rest.
